LISTEN! we have battling this itching for a long time thinking the vet was unaffordable and to difficult for our dogs. Already my dogs are getting better guys it’s been like 3 days! I no it’s your job but wow just wow you have healed our family!!! And gave us better rest and have biggest of all you have made our pups feel 100% better thank you for all that you guys do and especially you Mr vet man!

First I would like to say that they did take care of my dog. HOWEVER. When I first arrived, I asked the receptionist if they accepted walk-ins. She replied, "no but let me check real quick...." after checking on her computer she said they could go ahead and get us in and told us to have a seat. Dog's check up was fine, I was expecting to pay about $100-$110 after everything was done. When we went to pay, they said I owed $199!! I asked receptionist why was I charged so much? At first she wouldn't answer me and just gave me a receipt. The receipt showed I was charged $75 for an EMERGENCY FEE. I was charged an emergency fee because I came as a walk-in, instead of making an appointment! But I was NEVER told that if I stayed as a walk in that I would be charged for an emergency fee $75. If they would have told me of this fee, I definitely would have just made an appointment and came back later. I will not be returning as I feel like I have been swindled out of my money.

Dr. Carpenter is hands down the kindest and most empathetic veterinarian I have met. Vet med is a mentally strenuous profession, far more than most of us know, and he maintains professionalism and exhibits kindness constantly. The staff is wonderful as well! I have yet to work with the newly graduated Dr. Hull, but am certain that under Carpenter's guidance he will grow to be an equally wonderful doctor. I don't have enough good things to say about this practice! They stay busy for good reason, but work hard to make time for those in need. They also have a reputation for being empathetic, flexible, and affordable to those in desperate times.

Took my little furbaby here. She was sick & had blood in her urine. The vet was good with her. She's a ferrial cat, although she did really well with this vet! He took care of her and explained things very well to me. A good vet like him is hard to find!!! This is a nice place. I found it pretty easy, very clean, and the people that worked there are super nice!! Great place to take your furbabies too!!

Updating my review 4/23/24. The doctor is amazing and the guy that works up front in the office is also fantastic but the office manager and one of the other ladies up front have ZERO customer service skills. They are never helpful and are often very harsh or tacky for no reason. They are now charging $20 per pet just to confirm a flea and tick prescription online. No big deal, I probably would have paid it but then they said they will still not approve the online prescription after the $20 fee. They will only supply a paper prescription for you to mail in. Making the prescription at least a week later. This is 2024. Join the digital age. If I’m going to get charged $60 for three online prescriptions for my pets that literally would take less than two minutes to approve online, this is ridiculous. I called my previous vets office and they filled it over the phone in about 30 seconds no problem. When I tried to give this office an update on my experience, the manager offered to make my pets charts inactive. So basically, instead of hearing my concerns and taking it into consideration, she just offered to FIRE us customers. Unfortunately, this is the closest vet to my house and usually they have pretty reasonable prices so I’m stuck between a rock and a hard spot. Plus, I really like the doctor. He’s great!!!!! As a business owner, if these were the people I had as the face of my company I would be disappointed. This is my third frustrating issue at this location and every single time it’s been with the office manager. I sure hope she’s not one of the owners.

I have been using the Tecumseh Vet for over a year now for all our animals. We have goats, dogs, cats and chickens. The doctor is kind, knowledgeable, friendly, listens to my concerns, and has gone above and beyond for my animals. I trust him with my sick animals and know that he will help in anyway he can. They also have very reasonable prices so you can treat your animals without going broke. Affordable care is so important to us and you will find that family friendly experiences here.
