SM vet clinic has always taken wonderful care of of our miniature dachshund Henry. In event of minor emergency or regular checkups, the vet does a great job of explaining things to you to make sure you’re doing the best you can by your pet. The curbside spots for surgeries or appointments is convenient. Grateful to have been using their services for over 5 years now! ? our pup is healthy & happy. Even when he’s miserable at the doctor but I am too ?

Very cool location right there on the old FM ROUTE 12 On the south side of San MarcosTx head west (off IH35S) very cool veterinarian staff as well, finally found some folks who doesn’t yell at me cause my Pugs are too fat! LOL?We love em that way.

Dr. Julie and Dr. Laura are both amazing vets! They truly care about your pets and do everything they can for them, as if they were their own. The staff has always been super nice and accommodating, especially when it comes to emergency appointments. I know my babies are in the best hands when they are patients here. I moved away from San Marcos, but I still drive over an hour to take my pets here, because their prices cannot be beat! You won't regret entrusting the care of your pet to the people here.

There are simply too many good things to say about Dr. House, Dr. L. House, and staff. We've been taking our pets there for 15 years and have never had an issue. They are kind, compassionate, and have never led us astray. We received the same respect and support from them when we were young college kids to now in our mid 30s.
In my opinion and experience, if Dr. House says it, she has my unwavering trust. We have been to many other vet clinics when we lived further away or during closed hour emergencies and SM Vet is superior in every way.
I can't thank San Marcos Veterinary Clinic enough for the services and kindness they have given our fur babies, Odin and Inara. I will continue to recommend them to everyone who has a pet and will use this clinic as long as we live in Texas.

I just started taking my dog to Dr. House a couple months ago based on my neighbor’s recommendation. My pup was having an on going skin issue for 6+ months after seeing my other vet 4x without resolution. Dr. House asked questions, examined my dog, ran a new blood test, and made a different recommendation that ended up working. Good bedside manner, smart, patient, and affordable.
