Less than a month working there. The mold in the dishwasher and around drink fountain was horrible. Fake eyelashes everywhere. I personally clean myself while there. They were serving the food items that was out of date to the patients. I gather the out of date only to get verbally attack and watch the person put the items back to serve again. The food is horrible and passes 4 hours of un proper heating before it gets serve to the patients. The warming table doesn't properly work. So hot items/cold items is not properly in it holding temps.
The workers treat the patients is horrible. Cusing at them, laying hands on them. The temps joke about how they will beat the patient, especially on the female unit. Reported to HR was moved to another location last only 3 days there and left. Didn't like how they "solve" issues. PLEASE BELIEVE WHAT THE PATIENTS ARE SAYING. DON'T SEND YOUR FAMILY THERE.

The most horrible experience I've ever had in my life!!! God help you if you end up here.. you'd be more comfortable in prison. Not sure how they even have the nerve to call themselves a mental HEALTH facility because they legitimately treat people worse than animals. I arrived there at 7pm and sat in the freezing cold lobby until 2:30 am. By the time I actually made it into one of the rooms it was already past 3am and I was delirious with exhaustion. Then they wake you up at 6:30, kick you out of the room and lock the doors. You then spend all day literally pacing up and down the hallway or sitting in a plastic chair and staring at the wall until it's time to eat. Food is absolutely DISGUSTING beyond belief.. stale and moldy. At bedtime they keep the doors wide open and literally cackle like hyenas all night so you can't even fall asleep. They barge in your room every hour on the hour so it's literally impossible to sleep. Most horrific experience ever.. you would be better of in an actual prison that here. Staff is rude and despicable.. they talk down to you like you're garbage. The only way that they ultimately "helped" me was to make me appreciate the life I have.. because God help you if you end up in there. This place is worse than living on the street.. you are better off anywhere but there! Abusive and harsh environment and you can tell that the people who work there are only there for a paycheck. Absolutely disgusting on every level.

My nurse is Mrs Deb. She the best. If it wasn't for her I'd be lost. She made sure I got care during emergency. I was off my medicine She made sure was able get back on them. She also got me with Dr Mark. Who went above beyond to make sure I'm OK. I can't thank them enough. My nurse is my angel.

Nurse Debby is very kind and compassionate. She's the only one there that's both considerate and pleasant to be around. Would like to see her in the near future to control psychosis.

The staff was nice but the psychiatrist " Daa" is horrible person and shouldn't be licensed to treat anybody who's experiencing traumatic life changes like myself. I filed an official grievance form and I'm expecting to hear back from authorized staff member to address further actions.
If I do not hear from anyone regarding this issue. I'll be be sure to follow up.

I was just a patient here, I was put here underneath a baker act over suicidal superstition. In this experience I waited 13 hours in their waiting room which was freezing and when a lady finally decided to call and see what was goin on in hour 10 they said blatantly that they forgot about me. Because of that my time started late and I had to stay an extra day than needed. Also even though I wasnt suicidal I thought the fact that I had my strings in my shorts MY WHOLE STAY was immensely irresponsible, If I had suicidal intent at the time they made it very easy to act upon it. Also may I mention I saw more ambulances pull to the center than i've seen in my entire life. In the 72 hours I was there I saw 8 ambulances come and get people who were not being monitered and had injuries. Some not even breathing. The food was watered down and cooked hours before hand and there was bugs in every corner of the facility. Also not to mention there was a staff member that stood out heavily for her disregard of others with genuine mental incapacities. Georgette would be that name. She was consistently rude to patients and treated her job like a burden. She ate sushi in front of us and would spout derogatory claims about us all. Not to mention she limited phone time immensly, The visitation hours alone are already skewed (Sundays and Wednesdays for 1 hour) so limiting the phone time really stripped us away from our loved ones. My mom is my support and it was hard to talk to her at all when she was on shift. The only good thing about this facility is Dustin, David and there was another latino guy with a beard who was amazing but his name is slipping my mind right now. They all were the saving grace and the sole reason why I even put a star on the rating. If your loved one ever gets placed here. Look for a transfer immediately if you truly love them.

psychiatric hospitals in this country can really improve overall, but Lifestream is the worst of the worst. People in leesburg get forced there when they're in crisis instead of getting the option to be sent to a better facility. people have already said in the reviews that people sit on the floor for hours while they're waiting. for a room and thats true. it is also true that you do not get to wait in a hospital bed. if you're lucky enough to be off the floor then sitting in a plastic chair for hours is what happens to you. i was there in 2020 in a baker act. they didn't give me my prescription meds and didn't let me call my doctor to confirm i needed them. i get migraines if i even skip a dose of my meds. the worst part is that some of the workers were mean. i didn't wanna accept a call from a family member because i was embarrassed and they aggressively told me i needed to take the call. i was called stupid. patients would be in distress over being locked out of their room when they needed a nap and the staff would say they were acting like they were 2 and having a tantrum. injections were given when it wasn't absolutely needed. just because they didn't like a patient whining. ive had friends also be baker acted here and they all said they were abused and it was awful. people deserve real help if they have a mental health emergency. i dont think real reform will be done with this facility so i beg it be shut down
