Thank God for Dr.Popat. He is a fabulous Cardiologist. The thing that sets him apart from other doctors is he is very proactive and very interested in preventative medicine. He continues to educate himself by attending seminars based on his specialty. For example, today I had a procedure called an ablation. I have been suffering with restless leg syndrome for years. I’d wake up tired after I slept 10 hours. After one treatment, I feel like a new person due to this very simple procedure. His assistant Jill is remarkable! She is specializes in this procedure along with many others. The staff is very detailed oriented and very helpful. I am so grateful I found this doctor. I feel I’m getting the best care possible! Dr. Popat is seriously amazing. I went in with a list of issues that prior doctors had brushed off but he sincerely listened to every concern and had a possible explanation for the cause of literally every symptom. He was able to answer all of my questions and even though the appointment was brief it didn't feel rushed at all. He was the one who ordered the testing last year that found out that I had venous insufficiency and that my leg pain wasn't just "aging" or "anxiety". Since I've been having dizziness upon standing and weird blood pressure readings for 2 years since covid I had wondered if I needed to be tested for POTS or some other type of dysautonomia. I thought I would have to make a case for myself or convince him to order testing, but literally as soon as I told him my symptoms he suggested a tilt table test. It was more than just being heard, it was like he practically read my mind. Also, the notes/written summary of the appointment was very detailed, accurate, and helpful for me to keep my other specialists on the same page. I'm so glad I found a cardiologist who listens and takes my concerns seriously, and actually cares about finding the problem and fixing it. Thanks Dr. Popat!

Dr. Popat is awesome and really attentive to all voiced concerns and you can tell he really cares about his patients, as he took the time to really explain my condition and go through a variety of recommendations in detail. The staff is also really great and courteous. The only reason I gave 4 stars is that I have been going back and forth for 8 months now on a bill that my insurance has said they already paid, but it keeps getting sent to me despite the fact that I have been on the phone many times and have even had my insurance provider on the phone with them as well to let them know that I do not owe this money. The staff I have talked to on the phone have been very kind and understanding and have worked with me so that has been great, but there just seems to be a communication error after every call between the person I speak to and whoever processes billing, since I end up just getting sent a bill again after every call with no explanation.

I recently moved to Tampa and needed an outstanding cardiologist. After reading various reviews, Dr. Popat became an obvious choice. Having had two appointments with him, I can easily say that he lived up to the incredible things written about him. He explained everything is great detail, really cared about my overall health, and suggested I visit his repository of patient information on his website providing recommendations about a healthier lifestyle. I also felt completely at ease talking to him and did not feel I was rushed. Dr. Popat definitely sets a high standard for the medical community here in Tampa.

Dr Popat is a great doctor. He is ready to listen to you, is very prompt and does not seem rushed.. He will order the proper tests that you need to check on your health and keep you healthy. I am truly blessed to be a patient of his. I must travel a distance to see him but it is well worth the drive to get the care I need. His staff is also very nice , courteous and are very helpful.
