I’ve taken many pets to Dr.Jurk and the other professionals working at Animal Eye Care over the years. From my cross eye’d cat, Lily, to my parents dogs, to nearly all of my guinea pigs for silly hay pokes, they have all gotten excellent care from this hospital. The front room feels nice and home-y, has stuff for kids and pets alike, and the rooms are clean and full of information about getting financial assistance, pet stories, and information about different aids for blind pets. The staff are kind and great with the animals, no matter how big or small, and the location offers plenty of space outside to relax with your pets with a great view of the mountain.

Attached are photos of some of my pets seen at this clinic, with their very healthy eyes thanks to Dr.Jurk and her team!

The eye specialists here are second to none. The receptionists were very welcoming and accommodating, the vet techs and nurses helped to calm our squirrely pup down so that he could be thoroughly examined, and the doctor described the treatment in great detail. I would definitely recommend this organization to anyone looking to treat their animal’s eye problem(s) without hesitation.

Nobody better than Dr. Jurk and her staff! I fostered, then adopted, a pug from a hoarding, cruelty case. She had to have an eye removed due to trauma. Even though I live in Southern NH now, I drive to Animal Eye Care as there is no one else I would trust with this precious baby's eyes.
Update: we came to see everyone here for follow-up. It's an amazing team and Dr Jurk is the best. They are well worth the 2-hour drive and the traffic jams I encounter along the way.

Had a foster pug in my own pug in to see Dr. Jurk and her staff today. Everyone there is so top notch. I wouldn't trust my dogs or foster dogs eyes to anyone else

Wonderful staff..Dr Jurk is so smart, gentle, and professional. My dog was calmed down by the doctor and the technician in such a compassionate manner. PJ at the front desk is so kind and personable..even cleaned up after my dog had an accident. Jodie is also very attentive. The office is amazing, having such a peaceful feeling about it. Purple accents surround by soft yellow and open natural light .. beautiful place. Much thanks to the doctor and her team?

If you are going to a specialist, expect to pay what the service is worth.

Little Nes (Hebrew for Miracle) was missing an eye when I got her. What we didn't find out till much later was that the eye had never been removed. The dead eye was still in the socket, and still causing her pain.

My vet offered to take it out, but warned me that there was a real risk of her going blind from the surgery. After all, they would be operating on the optic nerve, right outside the brain. When I asked about a specialist, they immediately said Animal Eye Care of New England.

A simple statement of fact: AECNE cost more than doing it at my local vet would have. But it was worth it. She can see, and she's clearly not in pain anymore. She's started rubbing her head on me to show affection, which she had never done before. Presumably the dead eye would have hurt her if she had.

They were professionals, they clearly knew what they were doing, and they were honest about costs. They actually refunded me a few dollars when it turned out they didn't need some of the supplies they had included in their original estimate.

I hope to never need their services again, but I wouldn't hesitate to go back if I did, nor to recommend them to a friend.

The doctor is very competent.

However, the office refuses to call in prescriptions to online pet pharmacies. I believe the reason is that they want you to use their pharmacy, with prices two to three times higher than Allivet. When you are using 2 drops twice a day, you empty bottles quickly. If you want a prescription mailed to you so YOU can mail it to Allivet, they charge you a $13 tracking fee. To me, this is totally unethical. I am done with this nonsense. My dog and I are going elsewhere.

Dr. Jurk and the entire team at Animal Eye Care of New England have been nothing short of amazing to my dog, Ace, and I. Ace has been going there since he was a puppy due to cataracts and the staff there is always knowledgeable, kind, and friendly. They go out of their way to help and we are very thankful for them.

If I could give them 6 stars, I would, and they deserve it. Dr. Jurk and her team are second to none. Every person there is compassionate and professional - from the people at the front desk, to everyone that looked after my dog during his appointment today. They took their time and explained all possible outcomes. Even the care instructions after the exam were perfectly detailed. Thank you...
