Although no one ever wants to be in a situation where you have to bring your animal in to the ER, this is the best place to bring your animal. The staff is so kind, helpful, and welcoming. All of the staff members we interacted with took time to get to know my dog and make her feel welcomed and safe. They were very accommodating for my dog's high anxiety and did everything they could to calm her down. They were very upfront about cost and did a great job of keeping me updated about pricing throughout the exam. The entire staff made sure all of our questions were answered, and they even sent us home with really helpful instructions and medications. The staff even offered to help bring stuff out to my car (as I was on crutches). I highly recommend the AERC for all of your animal emergency needs!

My dog was recently diagnosed with oral melanoma. Everyone we have talked to and met with were very kind and professional. All of the financial options as well as what to expect from the appointment were sent in an email so we knew how to plan before we got there. They have been very communicative and informative. Even though we weren’t able to do all of the diagnostics the day of our consultation, they were able to get us in within a couple days to get it done.

Our puppy had lost most function in her back legs when we brought her in and the team that we worked with were quick to take her in and take amazing care of her. Our dog tends to have severe anxiety when going to the vet, but her care team was very accommodating and patient with her. Everytime they called to give us updates, they were always encouraging and gave us full updates. We also appreciated the text updates the gave us throughout her stay post surgery. We are very grateful for our dogs team and now we have her home resting with us. They truly had her best interest at heart the entire time. We would definitely recommend them.

We had to bring our 16 year old puppy Fred in after he injured himself. Our guy was suffering and needed relief quickly. From the beginning to the end we were treated with compassion, kindness and empathy. Saying goodbye to our baby was heartbreaking but he was comfortable and loved. He loved blankets and they wrapped him as soon as we got there. Thank you for letting his last moments be peaceful.

I had an overall good experience at AER. I was welcomed with attentiveness, compassion and care for my dog, Bailey. It was my first time here at the ER and they were quick to get her back and get her vitals checked, and do further examination after monitoring. They treated her with care and communicated with me very well throughout the whole process. I will be bringing my dog here to see an internal medicine specialist in August to help treat her Blastomycosis and I am very hopeful in their care. Thank you for all you do! Here is a picture of a my sweet Bailey Boo too! 🙂

I had to travel over an hour to get to the clinic late at night. While I was on the phone with the staff en route, they asked if I would need help getting my pup in when I got there. When I said yes, they asked for the make and color of my car. As I pulled up to the entrance, they were dashing out with a gurney to meet us. Really impressive.

In my frenzied state, I didn’t realize I was headed to the same vets who’d performed leg surgery on another one of my dogs nine year's earlier. Their new facility is huge … three stories high … and the hearts of the staff are just as big! On both occasions they provided professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate care and my BFFs give them ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, too! (And, no bribery with treats was involved!?)

It would be great if they added a satellite location in Wabasha, MN or, at least, somewhere between Red Wing and Winona. They’d do a booming business! Although they have a location in Rochester, MN, that is closer to my home, that clinic did not have the space to keep my pup overnight if it was necessary. I took a chance traveling farther but it all worked out.

To sum up, Jet and Draco give AERC two thumbs and eight paws up! ? ?

From the moment I walked through the door I got first class service. Everyone was so compassionate and understanding of my anxiety of my cat Gemma being ill. Dr. Jessica McGuigan was so patient and caring and acted like Gemma was her only patient. I found out she has hyperthyroidism. She explored every option I had and we agreed on one and went from there. She never made me feel stupid or looked down on me. She was fantastic!
The pharmacy/checkout employees were so kind and helpful they went over her meds so many times with me! My head was swimming with what happened. They helped me till I was comfortable.
Yes it’s expensive but to be seen on same day, get all the tests you need and medication and peace of mind and advice for your family fur baby is totally worth it! I would go back hands down!! Thank you AERCM! For your hard work and dedication to clients and animals!
