Yesterday morning I had to bring my dog to the emergency room. This was our fourth time using Airport Freeway Animal Emergency Hospital. Each experience has been unique, but yesterday’s visit truly stood out due to the exceptional care provided by Sam and Dr. Connor.

From the moment I arrived, Sam was incredible. His compassion and genuine desire to help were immediately apparent. He answered all my questions with patience, ensuring I fully understood what needed to be done. I couldn’t have asked for anyone more attentive or caring.

When Dr. Connor entered the room, her warmth and professionalism were equally impressive. She matched Sam’s compassion and care, providing clear explanations and treating my pup as if he were her own. Her kindness and expertise gave me great comfort during a stressful time.

While I greatly appreciate the exceptional care Moses received, I must mention that the cost of the emergency services was quite substantial. I understand that quality care often comes with a price, but the financial strain was considerable for me. I hope there may be future opportunities for more affordable options that still uphold the same high standard of care and compassion you provided me this morning.

I am deeply grateful for both Sam and Dr. Connor. Their empathy, professionalism, and dedication made all the difference, and I could not have asked for a better team to care for my beloved family member.

I can't stress enough how well they took care of both me and my cat, Pumpkin. I had to bring him in on Monday of last week late in the evening due to unexplained vomiting and it turned out he had a bowel obstruction. They explained the process of what they could do and how I could go about it and, of course, I told them to proceed with the surgery.
Dr. Duck was his surgeon that night and the one that explained on the x-rays what they found. She did an amazing job and was able to get what I'm know wasn't an easy extraction, done with no complications. There was another doctor that looked after him during the day who I think was Dr. Smith, and she was also amazing too. Both doctors called with updates day and night while they had him after the surgery and did what they could to make him comfy in what was a very stressful time for him. I did make another visit this early Wednesday in the AM and met with Dr. Connor who was amazing as well 🙂
Lastly, the techs there are awesome and even when I was stressing and calling them every other day with questions about his care, they took the time and effort to answer my questions and ease my worries (pretty sure they have me labeled in there as a worried pet parent lol). I'm also sure they'll probably hear from me again while he's still recovering. There was one tech that stood out and that was Kaitlyn (hope I'm spelling that correctly!). She was so awesome and we had a few laughs even when I had tears in my eyes from all the stress and worry. She really made sure Pumpkin was taken care of, but even took care of me.
All in all, I would 100% recommend this place to take your pet for any emergency. I felt like they actually cared not only about my pet, but me as well. Also, they let me visit with him the day after surgery which I thought was so sweet!!

I used this place in the past both with my dog who is now gone and with my new dog. She has had GI issues the last few weeks. Did a full work up and everything was good. She did get better for a little while. Everyone was so nice. However, I went last night and this morning, so, I guess whatever the night shift is, and totally a different experience. My dog tested for pancreatitis (they only have a normal/abnormal test, not one with actual values) and since my last dog had that often, I was familiar with the treatment plan: a day or two in the hospital, fluids, antibiotics, and PAIN MEDS. They believed it was "mild" and gave her sub cutaneous fluids (which she had received before) and carafate. We had abx and probiotics at home (side note: do not buy their probiotics from them. Like $20 a pack and a box of 30 is $35 on Chewy). Anyway, when she was handed back my hand got wet because I think some fluid got out. No biggie. I look down and she is bleeding from the site of fluids. The tech hands me a tissue and says to put pressure on it and it should stop. 15 minutes and 3 wet and bloody tissues later, it's okay. I get home and clean the blood up and we go to bed. Early this morning she wakes up yelping and shaking. When I try to pick her up she really barks. Why no pain meds? I drive through the freaking storm of the year back because she is in so much pain. The same tech lets me in and when I tell her what's wrong she says "of course it's going to hurt, she has pancreatitis, you haven't even been gone 12 hours." Um, ok thanks, captain obvious. I don't need my nursing degree to know that. I ask if the doctor can see her and reluctantly she gets the doctor who cannot evidently recreate the pain. I pick up my dog in front of the doctor and my dog yelps and the doctor says she didn't get that reaction and I'm probably making her more anxious. She then says it's not related to pancreatitis because it's under her ribs, front shoulder/pit area. And that's it. I ask for medicine and she gives me some gabapentin. Why the heck would you not figure out why this dog who you treated is having sudden pain? Thankfully during this debacle, I was able to get in touch with a vet in my neighborhood who has her own practice. The pain was caused by improper administration of the subQ fluids which makes sense given I have never had a leaky, bloody dog after 13 years and probably 10 or more treatments. She immediately gives my dog some buprenorphine and takes the time even with their electricity out to go through possible plans of care and determining what is happening because while the pancreatitis may or may not be mild, it has been an issue over the last couple months which does not indicate an acute episode but rather a secondary inflammation due to another GI issue. While the doctor there was happy to keep my dog hospitalized because I have pet insurance and they like to make money (literally that was said) they really pushed to send her back home with me. I'm glad they did. I will not be using this clinic again and I'm sad because most of my experiences were positive. Reading through the reviews it seems like the negative experiences were at night, and I share the doctor with the person who posted photos of their paperwork. So maybe if you can, avoid the night shift. The front desk people are always amazing. I just want my baby to feel better and it sucks knowing she can't go for walks or play because her muscle hurts so badly from those fluids shifting and being given wrong. Ugh.

They saved Max’s life and I could never be more thankful for it. You guys rock! The vets here will tell you the truth and work very hard. Max and I spend 3 nights in the ER after he was diagnosed with Addison deceased.

My naughty beagle is a frequent patient here. We have always had a very good experience and the staff is very professional and knowledgeable. His last stay was an overnight stay. I was able to obtain updates on his progress all night.

I had to take my dog Samson because he got a piece of the bone he was chewing on impaled between a tooth and the pallet of his mouth. They did an excellent job of sedating him and removing the bone splinter. Dr and Hailey are the best and we can't thank you enough! Samson really appreciates you both! No more bones ever! The receptionist is very nice and did a great job as well!
