I'm 31 years old and came to Dove Mountain with a previous diagnosis of a generalized anxiety disorder as well as a prescribed med that was working okay but could be improved.

The woman who did my intake paperwork trauma dumped on me. I mentioned that I "used to own more cats" (I had one run away) and she went into a minute long tangent giving me every excruciating detail of her watching her cat die via spider bite poison. I almost had a panic attack right then, and I have fixated on the thought of watching my cats die in this manner whilst having panic episodes since then thanks to this woman's inability to control herself in a way that is relevant to her job and the wellbeing of her patients.

My one ask when I came to Dove Mountain was to see a talk therapist. They said great, you're in luck, we have openings. My first appointment is with a councilor/case manager type guy. These were more therapy sessions for him to vent about his job and his bipolar daughter than anything. I went to a few of these, but it soon became a struggle due to my social anxiety to get out the door. I cancelled a couple of appointments last minute for reasons directly related to what I'm seeking therapy for. Since they make these councilor appointments mandatory, these cancellations were held against me, and as it turns out, I'm actually on a waiting list to see a talk therapist, contrary to what I was told at intake. Gotta go to the councilor appointments first. Bait and switch. Spoilers: I never saw the therapist once.

Things fell out rather slowly after that. The councilor appointments weren't doing me any good at all, so in my socially anxious brilliance I just stopped corresponding with him entirely. Not ideal but it's what happened. This deteriorated things with my doctor, who I at first had a good connection with. He was aware that my social anxiety was hampering my ability to get to my appointments but still seemed to hold it in judgment of my character without offering much else to assist with the situation. He basically said, in so many words, suck it up and find a way to get out the door to get to your appointments. We had one successful telehealth appointment, but the follow-up I apparently missed because I was only in the call 5 minutes early rather than 20, something I was later reprimanded for and told was draining the ample amounts of grace I was being granted. I was also told to contact my councilor or my health services would be terminated. During what was my final appointment with my doctor, I was so terribly anxious and just generally upset and socially uncomfortable that I sobbed for the entirety of it and the five minutes before and after.

This 6 month period was one of serious turmoil in my mental health, with the end of every 30 days being a scramble to try and find me an appointment and make whatever promises were necessary to get my script filled so I didn't go off my meds. I don't know if this place is designed for more intensive care than what I was seeking help with or something but the whole experience was an absolute mess and I cannot understand why they continue to stick to their guns with a program that seems broken or barely held together.

I recently made the decision to give MHC a chance. I loved the atmosphere and professional staff, and it was a relief to be proven wrong! At least, after three months in and out of surgery and hospital admissions, there are actually doctors who will listen to a non-M.D. opinion, hear what you have to say about your health like it's important and even let you finish what you're trying to say like I mattered. I have since switched my whole family to MHC. Thanks

Very disappointed, I should have know when they brought the bruschetta that it was going to be bad. The bruschetta was more like a garlic, cheese bread with tomatoes on top. I would not call it a bruschetta, the cheese was roasted on top of the bread it was not what i was expecting at a place that advertises themselves "Authentic italian" . The chicken was very dry and burnt. I asked the server " is the chicken on chicken parmigiana supposed to be this roasted ?" she just gave me a puzzled look and said "I will let chef know" then walked away and never came back to say anythingor offer to replace the food. It was disgusting, I ate just very center of the chicken and it was still so dry. My husband had the manicotti and that was disgusting as well; All you could tastes was the chunks of garlic. Needless to say we left and looked are now looking for another place to eat.

I was a patient of MHC healthcare for 8 years. The first three I was insured with Obamacare and then Medicare, once I became eligible.

Overall the experience was never bad...then again it was never great, and not even sure I can say it was good most of the time.

I don't know if my issues have to do with MHC specifically, or healthcare in Tucson/AZ or just the way our entire medical system has become socialized ever since Obamacare kicked in.

My first complaint was once I got setteled in with a doctor, she transferred from Dove Mountain to Catalina Foothills. Long drive, but I followed her for about a yer...then she disappeard without explanation.

So, I went back to Dove Mountain, whihc is only 10 min from my home. Found a new doctor that I liked. Problem was she was so dang busy. I could never talk about more than one issue at a time and to generate an appointment was typically 4 to 6 weeks out. Over time I learned how to work the system - as I said I really got to like my doctor and felt as if she had taken an interest in my health.

Sidenote, one of the thinks I don't like about this facility is I felt like a criminal (which I am not, no do I present myself as one) when I entered - the front office staff is all behind bullet proof glass (or so it appears).

Problem that I had is once again my docotor disappeared. This time I got a post card in the mail just before Christmas letting me know my doctor would be gone in 10 days.

Again, no explanation. When some deep prodding the best I got is she went back to her country. Does this mean her Visa expired or was she as fed up with out healthcare system as I had become.

Well I needed to see a doctor in January - but none were available at Twin Peaks - they were not accepting new patients (Hello, I had been ther for 8 friggin years!!!)

I got to see a doctow at the main facility in downtown Marana after about a 2 week wait for the appointment. she was good, and I was doing my best to warm up to her when she let me know at the end of our visit that she was a floater and did not take any patients.

I then found another doctor from a completely different clinic. He appeared to be ok, but obviously over worked. Scheduled a follow up for 3 months later only to find out he left the state and I now had a PA.

For now, I've given up in discust. I wonder what drugs the producers of all those Medical TV show are on, like Royal Pain, House, Doogie Houser or any of the others. It must be some kind of strong hallucinations they experince because it has no footing into todays medical world.

While Dr. Pang may be medically competent, her "bedside manor" needs work as she was rude and obnoxious when questioning me, plus waiting 45 minutes to see her.

I saw Dr. Joesph/Joe/Joey Simon for a psych eval and I have rarely felt less heard. From talking over me, to not listening to what I said, to talking to me like I'm a total idiot, and I honestly don't need nor want to go to any type of behavioral health to be made to feel worse than my brain already tells me. Dr. Simon makes me really wonder if I want any of my care done at MHC since he was so unprofessional to me. Contacted MHC as well with info and no response. Makes me feel completely uncared for here.
