Mi experiencia en Atención al Cliente de ese hospital St Vicent en Carmel ha sido muy mala, no solo la recepción del consultorio de la Dra que fui, sino en el área de Emergencia hace 1 año fue muy discriminatorio, incluyendo la atención por teléfono también. De verdad no volvería y no recomiendo ese Hospital. Tienen que solucionar la MALA atención. No hay vocación de servicio.

I had a pretty positive experience at st Vincent. The nursing staff were all wonderful and I got along with each one of them. It was far more than adequate care, they radiated a level of empathy I have not seen in other hospitals. I would gladly entrust my future care to this hospital and its amazing staff.

P.s. doctors here are like any other, you won’t see yours often

I would give it zero stars if I could. I have recently had an experience at postpartum unit in Carmel, where I was told that upon discharge it was procedure for infant car seats to be placed on the floor within vestibules while waiting for the car. I don't see how there is so much concern for babies safety and health while also potentially exposing them to bacteria commonly found in entrance carpet tiles that are designed to collect dirt, feces, etc. from shoes upon entry into the building. The nurse explained to me that instead of holding the carseat that she offered to hold that she would refuse to hold it and placed it on the floor within the vestibule. I think that she made this poor decision due to tension not liking the fact that one of my guests(my mother) requested that I exit the building in a wheelchair. The nurse explained to me and my guest that this was also not apart of policy and was not needed since I had not had a c-section. I did not have an issue with this because I am in pain due to a hemorrhoid that I sustained during birth which has not allow me to sit or walk very well. My mother did not think that this was true and there was a rude exchange between the caregiver and my mom. I was in too much pain to even engage or question either of their behavior. Because I cannot walk very well, upon exiting the unit they were much ahead of
me in pace. However, I heard them arguing because the caregiver offered to hold the carseat while my daughters father drove up to the entrance but instead of holding it or even placing it inside on a chair she dropped the carseat onto the floor and proceeded to argue with my guest(my mother). I found this to be very disappointing and honestly heartbreaking that because of a not so ideal situation an innocent baby would be discarded to the floor like trash where she could be exposed to a myriad of dust, dirt and debris. No one's child deserves to be treated as if they are nothing. We had just got finished seeing the pediatrician who explained how delicate an infants immune system is and how easy it is to put their health in jeopardy. My child should not have been used as a pawn in whatever issue they had. As the patient, I feel that things should been handled differently, whether that be calling someone to diffuse the situation or etc.

I love my doctor for starters! He is amazing. The staff at this hospital aren’t the regular staff I see him with with. The nurses and care team that prepped me for surgery were great. However the post-op nurse was awful. She honestly does not need to work with patients. I had a very hard time waking up from anesthesia. It took me hours to wake up. Obviously I cannot control something like this. As I started to become more aware of my surroundings waking up I realized she was making fun of me, complaining about me to her coworkers and laughing at me. Once she realized I was awake her tone entirely changed and she hid her badge so I couldn’t see her name. She took me back to the room I was in before surgery and as she walked out she told the lady that was coming in “well I’m getting written up” and laughed. I was under heavy anesthesia and have never reacted like this before and because of it I don’t feel like I was given the correct post-op treatment. I was treated more like a problem they needed to get rid of. I was not given any post-op talk or instructions. My questions were left unanswered. They just wanted me gone so they could move on to the next less complicated person. I feel very uncomfortable about post-op and the fact that I could not wake up. That nurse could have been doing anything to me while laughing. I’m aggravated to say the least.

This place has its share of good workers but most of them seem not to care. Hit the nurse button and it takes them forever to answer went to go see what was taking so long no one in the nurse station but sure enough they were just around the corner laughing up a storm. Do your job this ain’t play time.
