I cannot say enough about this facility. The staff and doctors were so very friendly and knowledgeable. They were compassionate about my little dog and took her in for emergency surgery. She was very well taken care of. I felt very comfortable calling at all hours to ask how she was doing. The doctors called every morning and every evening until she was able to come home. I highly recommended this animal emergency hospital and would never take my dog anywhere else.

Last Sunday we brought our 6 year old golden retriever who had gotten unexpectedly ill into this clinic. From the moment we walked through the doors till the time we left the staff was phenomenal. Dr Ziegler made sure that our dog had every test necessary, she spoke to us to be sure we understood clearly what was wrong . Finally when the decision needed to be made to put our best friend down not only Dr Ziegler but her staff made sure my husband and I had enough time with our dog. My highest praise to Dr Ziegler , you are the best ! Again thank you all

Our dog, Lottie needed an emergency hysterectomy. After calling our usual vets once we got the money together (moving things around so we can save our dog) our vet informed us “should have came in before noon”, we then had to wait for the emergency vet to open at five. They took Lottie in right away… the staff was so kind and caring. Took her into surgery right away. Called us once surgery was done, informing us they need to keep her over night. We spent $700 on antibiotics with our usual vets, they told us to bring them in so they could use them on her, instead of charging us extra for antibiotics. Once we brought them in, they said Lottie is doing good and we could take her home…
Lottie is doing amazing!!! I cannot thank this place enough for saving our family (Lottie) and being so kind and caring…. You can tell they truly care about what they do. I am glad we used them instead of our usual vets. We will not be taking our dogs back to our usual vets… wish we could take them here, but they’re just for emergencies.

We went with our Golden that was post op and Dr. Ziegler and the staff were the best. Our outcome was not good but the staff and doctor was extremely compassionate for not only our Golden but to us as well.

We cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional care our puppy received this week. The staff was professional and had genuine compassion. They took the time to thoroughly explain everything to us, patiently answered all our questions, and Dr. Zieglier delved deeper into some concerns we've been trying to find answers to, ensuring our girl was thoroughly looked after. Brandie was great, and we felt like they treated our Skye as if she were their own. Their expertise and dedication reassured us that she was in great hands. Thank you to the entire team for being there for us in our time of need.

I've had to use the services here a few times over the years and have always found the staff to be wonderful human beings. The most recent experience was when my 17 year old girl needed to say good-bye. The doctor and staff were so kind and professional and gave me all the time and support I needed to make the process peaceful. I'll always be grateful to them for their compassion.

My little female dog was a labor at 8pm and I called them because she was having complications and no babies had been coming out for the past 2 hours prior to that and THEY RECOMMENDED I go see an emergency vet and told me I couldn’t go to them because I wasn’t a member of their clinic AND THEN I had another family member call to talk to them and they told my family member that they were understaffed… Port Charlotte needs to do better with emergency situations because my dog or her babies could of been harmed and loss their life because they REFUSED to take her… lucky her and her beautiful 3 little healthy babies made it with no complications all because of a clinic in Sarasota NOT THIS PLACE IN PORT CHARLOTTE. If I could give less stars I seriously would I’m so disappointed and disgusted by this place

My husband and I sadly had to say goodbye to our fur baby Phoenix this past Saturday. It was a very difficult decision to make but we believe that he is no longer suffering. I greatly appreciate the professionalism, kindness and compassion the staff showed to us during a very sad time. I came home today to find a very sweet card in the mail from the Veterinary Emergency Clinic with a stamp of my Littles guys paw and some heartfelt messages from the staff, I was so appreciative and grateful for their care and kindness and have no doubt that the staff took great care of my little guy after we said good bye. Thank you for the very touching and heartfelt gift in memory of Phoenix. I would definitely recommend this clinic for any persons fury friends and family.
