I have a cane corso with pretty bad anxiety but when I switched to North Kenilworth, his anxiety decreased dramatically. I also got my little blue heeler spayed here and she recovered amazingly. The staff here are also very kind and they are very thorough when it comes to explaining procedures and reviewing pricing. Love this vet clinic.

North Kenilworth used to be an amazing vet to bring all your pets too (I have 6 on record there that I used to bring regularly for the past 5-6 years). Once Dr. Holmes (and Dr. Kirk, she was the best!) left, I am not sure what happened behind the scenes but things have definitely gone downhill here. All the vets they had have left (coincidence? probably not.). The pushing of unnecessary tests and extreme costs of those tests have pushed me and my pets away from this vet (preying on people when they are vulnerable is not a good look and it is very obvious that it is being done). Want an appointment? Well, I hope it is not urgent because you will be waiting around 2 weeks to be seen. Once you do get an appointment on the books, have fun waiting in the lobby as they take your pet back and leave you sitting there (this happens more often than not, sometimes you might manage to get a room and be able to be there with your pet).

TLDR; save your money and time and go to one of the many other awesome vets in Central Phoenix that can accommodate the clients they have, this place cannot.

3 years ago I saw Dr. Young with my pomeranian Leah for the first time. Since then North Kenilworth has been my absolute favorite vet practice. The staff is awesome and Dr. Young is hands down the best vet. She’s always been caring, compassionate, and upfront about treatment plans. I will definitely miss her but I’m excited for her new journey and I wish her the best!!! I trust that North Kenilworth hires the best so I’m looking forward to building a new relationship with my pets future vet. ?

The team at North Kenilworth has been so kind and helpful for my 4 year old dog with severe anxiety. They’ve helped him find the right medications and supplements to help him feel at ease and able to enjoy life, and give him a safe calm environment to feel less afraid during vet visits.

My 11-year old tabby cat has been a patient with North Kenilworth and I have absolutely no complaints. He had 3 teeth removed and during the whole surgery I got text message updates and x-ray images. I’ve never felt more involved in my pets care. Truly recommend them. It’s a neighborhood family feel!

We have been bringing our pets to North Kenilworth Vet Care for more than 4 years. The Doctors and staff are AWESOME! Friendly, compassionate, knowledgeable. They were there for my family and me when a couple of our furry family members crossed over the rainbow bridge. They were so kind. Love this place.

I have been a customer since the end of last year, and this is the third time I get rude treatment from the technicians. I brought my dog Anya in today for her monthly injections and I was made to feel uncomfortable and like a liar for the clinic's own mistake of not keeping my dad's credit card information on file as he had requested on my previous visit last month when Anya had her physical exam.
I have many complaints, including from that specific exam day.

But I'll focus on today first: On my 9am appointment on August 1st I was asked to pay by the employee working the desk, I explained my dad had already provided his card information and it should be on file since last time I was there for her annual exam the technician even verified the last 4 digits with me given that when she tried to run the card it didn't work because they had entered some numbers wrong, so I called my dad and got the correct number for that tech.

This employee said: No the info is not here; so I tried detailing what happened last time, but she proceeded to cut me off while I was still speaking, I then continued to finish my thought and she kept talking over me!
I asked if they could check someplace else in their system and I was given a stern NO. This person stated that they could not ever save a card on file.

The technician that injected my dog was not helpful either, because I had to get to the point of asking if I needed to stay there until my dad returned my call to make the payment for her to propose to send my dad a text with a payment link, to which I replied that wasn't possible because he doesn't have a cell phone. This technician then said that if my dad called we could get the card saved on file, which is contrary to what the employee at the computer told me in front of the technician.

To end the ordeal, I said, well hopefully this time the card is finally saved, and asked for the manager's name to settle this, this technician then answered Aja in an overall unpleasant and patronizing tone. I had manners and communicated in a respectful tone throughout the awkward treatment I got from these women. There were no empathic statements whatsoever.

The tech from today also said Anya had another medication on file to be injected each monthly visit and asked me to confirm if she does get this one, a medication that begins with the letter S. She said it always appears there, and I was just communicated this today? What if she had been administered this and it made her sick

My other complaint is that the doctor that saw Anya last time for her annual exam didn't check her mobility by assessing her joints since she has arthritis. Also, when asked a clarifying question about how heartworm travels from one place to another she got very defensive because I didn't understand the way she explained something, and essentially got short with me and confrontational.

All in all, I've noticed there's a pattern of bad attitude from the employees as well as this one doctor. There's also frequent miscommunication and disorganization. But most importantly, they don't know how to act in a stable and customer-centric way. I am done being patient with their apparent discrimination as a woman that is an immigrant.
